Type of project: Secondary

Duration: 5 months

There are different multiparameter probes on the market for continuous monitoring of water quality. These probes vary in terms of technology, performance and price. CABB wishes to carry out a comparative study of probes based on three different technologies: conventional, compact multiparameter and multispectral camera.

The 3 probes to be evaluated will be installed in two different points of sewage facilities: 1. Galindo WWTP desander outlet channel. 2. Its operation will be evaluated for a sufficient period of time to be able to establish conclusive results regarding its reliability, operation and maintenance.

For this purpose, an in-depth study of the results recorded by each of the probes during the test period will be carried out. The deviations obtained in each case, analysis of recorded failures, evaluation of the data recording software, etc. will be analyzed. Likewise, all data related to the O&M of the equipment (ease and requirements for installation, need/periodicity of cleaning, recalibrations…), parameters analyzed, sensitivity, robustness, average life, cost, etc. will be recorded.
